The Bellarine Light Game and Sportfishing Club is among one of Victoria's first sportfishing clubs to be established under the umbrella of the Australian National Sportfishing Association (ANSA).
Under the rules of ANSA, members are able to claim line class records, be awarded Master Angler status, fish a variety of line classes, fish for a wide variety of species and use a wide range of tackle and techniques.
The club caters for anglers from all walks of life, adults and juniors, who are interested in challenging themselves by learning about new methods, species and places to fish.
The BLG&SC also caters for anglers who prefer to fish for bread and butter species and not worry about the complexities of line classes and points.
The Bellarine Light Game and Sportfishing Club meets on the second Monday of each month at the Geelong Gun Club clubrooms. Club competitions are usually run on the following Sunday or at times set at earlier meetings. Members are regular attendees of Vic. ANSA Conventions and the club has been State Champion a number of times.
Social activities are organised throughout the year the high lights being our Christmas Break-up and our Presentation Night.
