HALCO POLTERGEIST

Reviewed by Matt Borg
See Matt's regular Pro Report here.

The Halco Poltergeist has been a top seller of the Halco range for many years now.

The Poltergeist is made in two sizes: the 80mm and the 50mm. I have used both models personally have found the Poltergeist to be a lure great for casting and trolling. I have caught Murray cod, golden perch, redfin, trout and flathead using the Poltergeist 80 and 50.

Halco claims that they are "The ultimate crash diver". This means that from the moment you begin your troll or retrieve the lure dives straight down. I have found that they are very productive when casting into deep water that is close to the bank. Lures that crash dive are great for getting to fish that hold up in the structure right against the bank.

Halco Lures also have a "Bullet Proof" bib made from polycarbonates used in bulletproof glass. They also are put together with a unique glue-less locking method, they claim glue solvents weaken plastic over time and the glue-less system hold bibs firmly in place.
