Approved lifejacket or PFD-1 for
each person onboard.

Two Paddles or oars and rowlocks.


If less than 5m

Bailer, manual pump or efficient bilge pumping arrangements.

Approved fire extinguisher where fuel is carried.

Waterproof torch or lantern.

Anchor with no less than 35 metres of rope for a row boat.

Anchor with no less than 45 metres of rope for a boat less than 5 m.

Anchor with no less than 50 metres of rope for boats between 5 m and 8 m.

Two hand held red flares and two hand held orange smoke flares of an approved type.

Approved EPIRB when travelling over 2 nautical miles from coast (excluding embayments).
