cardsYou will not need a licence to fish if you:
  • are under 18 years of age;
  • are 70 years of age or over;
  • are the holder of a Victorian Seniors Card;
  • are the holder of a Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Card;
  • are the holder of a Commonwealth pensioner concession card coded either (DSP), (DSP Blind), (AGE), or (AGE Blind);
  • are the holder of a Veterans’ Affairs Repatriation Health Card, coded (TPI).

Additional exemption effective 1 September 2003
As from 1st September 2003, persons who hold a Commonwealth Pensioner Concession card coded (CAR) are exempted from the requirements to hold a Recreational Fishing Licence whilst fishing in Victorian waters.
