Our club was established in 1978 and boasts a membership of around 100 families. We cater for Seniors (including Ladies), Juniors and Midgets and have competitions at Freshwater, Estuary, Surf and Salt water venues around Melbourne and country areas such as Purrumbete, Eildon Swan Reach, Bemm River and Port Albert just to name a few.
The Seniors presentation night is held in July each year and the Juniors and Midgets presentation day is held on the 2nd Sunday in December in conjunction with our annual Christmas party. Fun for the kids and of course Santa pops in to say hello.
The KAC Carrum Classic is held the last weekend in February. This is the competition with a difference and is open to all anglers who love to fish. This is a 6 species competition where anglers can catch their bag limits each day of each species, but only weigh in 2 of each species. [Wondering what the species are?: Bream, Flathead, Garfish, Mullet, Snapper, Whiting] The registration/weigh in is held at Launching Way, Patterson River and we are very grateful to our wonderful sponsors who support this venture.
