I've read reports that the run-off period (feb - April) in NT is a great time to get into some active Barra up North. (Not sure about QLD though

Would absolutely LOVE to get up there myself. (In fact plans for a fishing safari type trip are underway with a group of friends .. looking at targeting NT and QLD for landbased and boat fishing -- but not until next year :( )

  Fully agree. Don't plan to add anything further to the mud puppies diet!! (I think that's what they call them up there  )

Have had big groups of friends do similar trips in the past and they have had an absolute ball.

Need to follow common sense, and most of the fishing is done from a boat.

Definitely don't hang river banks, or wade the waterways and river crossings up there. (At a minimum, have a reputable guide with you who knows what they're doing).

Barramundi know its a good feeding time, but so do the Crocs :!:
