The sleek profile, the classic styling, and the unmistakable Carolina flare of the 36 Convertible only tell part of the story. With an LOA of 11.86m (38’11’) and Beam of 4.22m (13’10”) this is a big, powerful boat perfectly attuned to the realities of her role as a dual-purpose sportfishing and cruising power yacht.

The cockpit has been shaped & refined by engineers who go boating. You’ll find tackle & storage drawers, a plumbed livewell, sink, and rod-holders plus fresh and raw water wash-down outlets. This value loaded boat even includes a transom fishbox, transom door, and gold anodised rocket launchers as standard. It’s a cockpit designed to be enjoyed both by a team of anglers and a load of cruising guests.

The wide moulded steps of the BridgeWalk™ are an excellent example of the kind of design that could only come from the mind of someone who really uses their boats. Providing safe and easy access to the bridge, the steps also house an integral icebox and a storage locker that’s ideal for dock lines and electrical cords. Well lit for nighttime use, the BridgeWalk™ is in every way a quantum leap beyond flybridge ladders.

The flybridge has a spacious & efficient layout. The forward bench seat compliments the helm and companion chairs, providing plenty of room for guests. The centre console helm includes ample room for all your electronics and instrumentation and the latest in electronic engine controls. A composite hardtop complete with mounting pads for radar and antennas is standard.

For the 36’s interior, the designers took advantage of the wide beam to create a salon that’s as comfortable and relaxing as it is versatile & comfortable. You’ll find another space-saving innovations everywhere. There is a spacious storage area beneath the salon steps, ideal for rods, tools, spare props or whatever you may need to stow. The galley includes a two-burner range, microwave, coffeemaker and large refrigerator/freezer and is finished with Corian countertops and rich cherry wood cabinetry.

Forward, the 36 Convertible provides a serene refuge in the form of a master stateroom. You sink into the plush innerspring mattress surrounded by a soothing atmosphere of rich cherry wood and designer fabrics. Plenty of storage is provided with two lit, cedar-lined hanging lockers and three big drawers beneath the berth. The second stateroom features upper and lower berths that convert to a sofa and includes a hanging locker and rod storage. The roomy head offers a separate stall shower and abundant storage.

Standard power for Australia are twin Volvo D6 370hp diesels with optional power options available to 2x 480hp Yanmar diesels. According to factory specifications, the mid-range Yanmar 440hp diesels offer a top speed of 29.6 knots, and cruise speed of 26.1 knots. Like all Luhrs, the engineering is superb.
