MUSTAD MT POINT CHEMICALLY SHARPENED HOOKS

MT Point is a new range of Mustad hooks based on selected classic hook patterns, but upgraded with new features. The range includes Kirby, Extra Long Shank, Beak, Wide Gap and Limerick patterns. There is also a new MT Point version of the Open Eye Gang hook.

The MT Point is a genuine chemically sharpened hook at an economical price. Important technological advances have enabled Mustad to produce a hook point comparable in sharpness to a needle point at less cost in a single machining process (needle points require separate machining).

This is a further development of the work of Mathias Topp, a Mustad engineer of the late 19th century, who pioneered automated fish hook manufacture. The MT Point range is named in recognition of Topp.

Mustad's MT Point is thus extremely sharp at the tip. But unlike the needle point, it is flat-sided, allowing easy resharpening when required.

The MT Point hooks also feature new and improved finishes including the latest Black Nickel and a new 'Nickel blonde' finish to enhance performance and corrosion resistance.

Mustad MT Point hooks are sold in distinctive new blue and gold self serve packs and are available from good fishing tackle stores.
