OKUMA V SYSTEM SPINNING REELS

Okuma's latest release is a large range of high tech spinning reels that are certain to interest discerning anglers who prefer to fish with top quality tackle.

The "V System" consists of 8 reels - the VS-15, 20 and 30 have 12 “High Performance Bearings (HPB)” treated for corrosion resistance and there are 15 of these bearings in larger reels up to VS-80.

Okuma's, unique, "Extreme Elements Bearing (E2BB)" which contains ceramic balls to eliminate corrosion are also used in areas of the V System that are prone to water exposure

This drive train combined with Okuma's Rotor Equalising System provides an incredibly smooth retrieve, further enhanced by elliptical oscillation gearing which produces a line lay similar to worm drive. This reduces the tendency for line to "dig in" during retrieving and gives a smoother release during casting, particularly with braided lines.

V System reels feature Okuma's, new, "Dual Force Drag" technology, with traditional drag washers under the front control knob, plus the addition of another washer at the rear of the spool acting in the opposite direction.

This, extra, oversize, drag washer equals the inside diameter of the spool skirt, increasing the range of drag adjustment from normal high pressure to complete "lock up" of the drag, and will be appreciated by anglers using braid.

Okuma's "AlumiLite" aluminim body, rotor & spool construction virtually eliminates reel “flex” and retains the precision alignment of all internal parts when the reel is under load.
