OKUMA  "INDURON"  BAITCAST  REELS

Okuma's Induron is a top quality baitcaster that will interest keen anglers in the market for a tough, reliable reel.     

Durable machine cut aluminium is used in the traditional round body construction. The drive train has 5.1:1 gearing with seven ball bearings and a quick set anti-reverse bearing.

The handle has two soft touch grips and drives through a smooth rulidium drag adjusted by an aluminium star wheel with fine click adjustment.                                 

Free spool is accessed by pressing the thumb rest, and the titanium coated level wind guide remains stationary during the cast (150 & 250 size).  A slight turn of the handle brings the reel into gear.

A six pin velocity control system is used to prevent excessive spool speed during the cast, with end play pressure adjusted by the knurled bearing cap on the handle side of the reeel.       

The Induron has take-apart construction with two captive screws, and can be taken down in a few seconds for cleaning, oiling, and adjusting the brake blocks.

The reel shown is the IXD-250, which has a capacity of 250 metres of 5 KG.  Other sizes available are IXD-150, holding 190 metres of 4KG, and IXD-400 (160 metres of 9KG)
