OKUMA BAIDARKA KAYAK ROD SERIES

Okuma's latest releases include the "Baidarka" range of one-piece kayak rods built on quality blanks. Kayak fishing is the next big thing to hit Australia since the soft plastic revelation and everything from marlin to bream has been caught from a Kayak. The thought of being towed around by a large powerful fish is becoming a reality for a lot of fisherman.

Fishing from a kayak creates a number of issues not normally considered whilst fishing from a boat or pier. Having researched this, Okuma has developed several features that make this rod unique. All guides are made from stainless steel to help reduce the corrosion that comes with being so close to salt water. On the butt of the rod there is a lanyard clip to keep the rod attached to the kayak, and lastly the rod floats, even with a large overhead reel attached.

The range has been divided into a two 7ft 6in spinning rod, four overhead 7ft 6in rods and one 7ft overhead rod. All rods are of one piece construction and have line ratings ranging from 4-7kg to 7-15kg.
