RAPALA X-RAP

From the makers of well known lures such as the “Original Floating, Countdown, and CD Magnum, comes their latest innovation, the Rapala X-Rap.

This extreme action slashbait took over three years to perfect, with features such as a weight transfer system that utilizes tungsten ball bearings that roll to the tail end of the lure for exceptional casting distance and then roll forward and lock into place as soon as line is retrieved and an internal holographic foil that is contained within the body of the lure and cannot be damaged by toothy pelagics.

As usual, quality fittings such as 3 X strong split rings and VMC trebles are included on all lures. An 8cm freshwater version is available in 12 brand new colours and comes with an added teaser tail. Also available are 3 saltwater sizes, a 10cm version, available in 14 colours, a 14cm size in 12 colours.

These lures can be retrieved at slow speeds with the classic Rapala roll or can be fished aggressively creating a darting and weaving action. The largest of the series, the X Rap magnum, is 16cm long and carries a huge bib allowing it to dive to an astonishing 30 feet. It can be trolled at speeds up to 13 knots.
