Shakespeare® Ugly Stik® Rods are celebrating 30 Ugly Years!

Since 1977, the Ugly Stik® has been synonymous with anglers the world over. They are the original clear-tip rod and have been the yardstick by which all other rods have been measured, with anglers relying on their durability, sensitivity and fishability for the last 30 years.

Today Shakespeare® Australia has many ranges of Ugly Stik® rods available in Australia; Ugly Stik® Bluewater, Ugly Stik® Platinum, and Ugly Stik® Golds, Ugly Stik® pinks, Ugly Stik® combo’s and we also make exclusive ranges for customers such as Kmart, Big W, Anaconda, Ray’s Outdoors, Tackleworld and JV Marine to name a few.

In 2007 we plan to celebrate this special year with upgraded ranges in Ugly Stik® Bluewater and Pink and new additions in the Platinum and Gold ranges. Rod Information:

• The use of the Exclusive Howald Process™ provides anglers with a rod that has literally been built twice, creating a lightweight blank with tremendous strength without compromising on sensitivity or fishability.
• Blank-through-handle construction
• Solid Clear-Tip™ Design
• Guides are under-wrapped for durability and longevity
• Blanks are fully coated with epoxy for extra protection from the sun’s damaging UV rays
• All Ugly Stik® are fitted with Fuji components
