Silstar "Stinger" Spinning Reels

Budget conscious anglers are certain to be interested in the new Silstar Stinger series of spinning reels.

They look and feel like a top of the range model, have many features found on expensive reels, and come ready for fishing with line on the spool.

The three reels in the Stinger series have a corrosion resistant graphite body with a glossy black finish, and a multi disc drag system.

Gear ratios are 5:1 on the SS-20 and 4.5:1 on the larger models. The drive train has two stainless steel sealed ball bearings and super smooth heavy duty gears that combine with the rotor equalising system to give an incredibly smooth retrieve and an even line lay.

The bail arm is fitted with a large roller designed to minimise line twist and the reel has "quick set" anti reverse to minimise backward turn of the handle during hook-ups.

Line capacities are 200 metres of 2kg on the SS-20 and 200 metres of 4kg on the SS-40. The largest Stinger is the SS-60, which holds 300 metres of 6kg.

Recommended retail prices are only $29.95 for the SS-20, $34.95 for the SS-40 and $39.95 for the SS-60. With so many features and a spool filled with line the Silstar Stinger range is very good value for money.
