Lowrance leads the way with new NMEA 2000 products
Lowrance has introduced a range of advanced multi-function gauges to take full advantage of the innovative LowranceNET (NMEA 2000) network.
These round, high-contrast, dot matrix gauges can be fully integrated into the onboard communications network to display graphic and numerical digital data right throughout the boat.
Featuring advanced LED backlighting, with connectivity to a remote speaker for alarms, the gauges are available in two compact sizes – LMF 200 (fits a standard 55mm diameter hole) and LMF 400 (fits an 86mm diameter hole).
Complementing these new gauges is an array of NMEA 2000-compatible diagnostic sensors, or electronic probes (EPs).
Waterproof and corrosion-resistant, these EPs read both digital and analog data and seamlessly integrate with the LowranceNET system to provide the information that’s displayed on the multi-function gauges and on the screens of Lowrance’s extensive range of NMEA 2000-compatible head units.
Lowrance’s new units (any model with a blue plug, apart from the X125 and X126DF) are all NMEA 2000-compatible.
The inexpensive EPs can be connected and disconnected as required to provide real-time information anywhere in the boat, be it a trailerable rig or a large sportfisher.
The EPs currently available in Australia include: EP 10 (Fuel Flow); EP 15 (Fuel Level); EP 20 (Engine Interface); EP 25 (Temperature/Speed); and EP 30 (Trim Tab).
More EPs will become available as the cutting-edge, user-friendly LowranceNET system continues to develop.
