SUB WARTS AND HOPPER POPPERS
Okuma's latest releases are sure to interest anglers looking for the latest in lures that swim on or just below the surface.
There are two ways to fish a Sub Wart. When retrieved slowly with the rod tip up it swims on the surface, or fast cranking with the rod down and the tip near the water will retrieve it at 0.3 metres, swimming with a side to side action.
The Sub Warts on the left are (top to bottom) Bluegill, Silver Shad and Gold Shad. They are 4cm long and weigh 5 grams.
Storm's new Hopper Poppers are on the right. They are realistic lures that fish can't resist and are certain to be popular with anglers targeting trout and bass during summer.
Colours shown (top to bottom) are Brown Yellow, Phantom Orange and Phantom Black. They are 4cm long, weigh 2 grams, and are fitted with VMC trebles. An effective method of fishing this grasshopper look-alike is to cast to a likely spot, wait a few seconds and then work it quickly along the surface with a hopping action.
Sub Warts and Hopper Poppers are part of the large range of Storm's hard and soft plastic lures. They are easy to find - just look for the bright yellow boxes at your favourite tackle store.
