VMC's 6x Treble Hooks

Anglers using treble on lures often find their hooks broken by savage strikes from barramundi and other sportfish that hit the lure hard. This is why experienced anglers advise strong trebles for this type of fishing.

With many brands of hooks this means attaching a set of 2x trebles, but there have been instances of these stronger hooks being broken in tussles with heavy, vigorous fish.

French hook manufacturer VMC has responded with a top quality 6X treble to suit these situations. This hook is shown on the left and the extra thicknesss and slightly larger eye can be compared with a standard 2x treble on the right.

The increased thickness results in a super strong treble with the added advantage of "cone cut" points for better penetration and "perma steel" finish for saltwater use.

VMC do not use chemicals to sharpen their hooks, and the points may be resharpened by the angler if necessary.
