TEAM UP AND SPLASH OUT FOR THE KIDS
Ever wanted to spin the coffee grinders like an America’s Cup sailor? Do you like the
idea of burning down the bay on a real Sydney to Hobart yacht? Or are you more inclined to
float around sipping champagne and eating oysters?
You’ve probably heard of the Variety Bash, but next February, get ready for the Variety
Splash.
The Children’s Charity Variety Victoria is branching out from its iconic car rally fundraiser,
fondly known as “The Bash”, and taking its message to the seas. The inaugural Variety Splash,
to be held from February 28 to March 1 2008, is a leisurely three-day / two-night boat rally
circling Port Phillip Bay, interspersed with functions, social events and a good dose of irreverent
fun.
It is anticipated that this inaugural event will raise $150,000, which will go towards
providing utilities and life experiences for Australia's sick, disadvantaged and special-needs
children.
All you have to do is put together a team, raise the entry fee and choose your boat from
the Variety Splash website!
A wide selection of boats is currently available to accommodate a range of group sizes,
and both power and sail boats are on offer. A crew is provided and catering is included, so all
you need to worry about is packing an overnight bag!
It’s a fantastic and different way to treat your clients or reward your top-performing
employees, or (if you need an excuse) to do as a team-building exercise with your colleagues.
Demand is expected to be high, so teams are advised to get in early to secure their boat
of choice.

power and sail boat rally cruising around Port Phillip Bay.)
