BOOK LAUNCH FOR DEDICATED FISHCARE VOLUNTEER
It was time to ponder, reminisce and celebrate the achievements of Fishcare at the launch of Fishcare – Making a difference since 1995 last Thursday.
Local resident and inaugural member of Fishcare in East Gippsland, Allison Huse, has written a journal of her experiences, travels and shared achievements as a Fishcare volunteer for the past 13 years.
The 112 page publication, full or personal anecdotes, clipping and colour photos was officially launched to 25 invited guests by Fisheries Officer and past Fishcare Coordinator, Trudy Schmidt.
Also present were Charlie Franken - the first Fishcare Coordinator, Tonia Stokes – current Fishcare Facilitator, past and present Fishcare volunteers, Mr Craig Ingram and other fervent supporters of Fishcare.
Allison first started working on the Journal in 2005, the ten year anniversary of Fishcare in Victoria. It is a remarkable achievement to present this work in published form, a credit to her dedication and commitment.
