Altona Safe Harbour Dredging

Works are scheduled to commence on 15th September 2008 and conclude by 30th September 2008, weather permitting.

All ramps will be closed during dredging of the Harbour entrance.

Access to and from the Harbour may be restricted during the dredging beside the East and West Rock Walls.

Boat owners are to observe all signals displayed on the dredger.

The spoil will be disposed of at sea, through a pipe to a barge, approximately 600 metres south east of the harbour’s entrance.

Please use caution during the dredging and disposal works.

This project has been funded from boat ramp user fees. Estimated cost $120,000.
