Grew up in Melbourne targeting redfin and carp in the Yarra until the age of 12. Moved to Narooma at that age and starting working part-time at ocean Hut fishing centre at Narooma. At 14 began gamefishing and caught many monster yellowfin at Montague (when they were still around), the best at 105kg.
The game bug was well and truly set and gained my coxswain's certificate so I could skipper a game boat at the age of 18. Skippered 2 boats, a 33ft shark cat then a 41 steber for 6-7yrs. Absolutely loved it and in this time if I wasn't fishing outside then the estuary was copping a flogging as well.
At 26 I went and travelled alot chasing big fast fish. Spent a season at Cairns and Port Stephens, and went to Vanuatu for a look as well. About 4 years ago I was planning to buy a game boat, but instead took the estuary option, it was the best decision I have ever made.
Aussie Fish Estuary Adventures is now a respected south coast guiding operation that operates from Batemans Bay to the Vic border. Species targeted include Mulloway, big flathead, bream, bass, estuary perch, salmon, tailor and just about anything that swims. We specialise in the use of softplastic lures and hard-bodies but also cater for fly and bait fisherman to. We operate out of a 6.1mtr full boar boat in full NSW survey.
I have a young family and wife, my 2 daughters Jessica 3 and Sophie 18 months and Ann-Maree my wife live at Merimbula NSW and this is where my operation is based out of.
