Williamstown & Newport Angler's Club

The Williamstown & Newport Angler's Club first fished against the Ballarat Anglers back in the early 1930s and have had a visit to Ballarat every year with a reciprocal trip to Williamstown ever since.

This year's competition was the first time we actually beat them on their home ground, they were quite surprised that the boys from Williamstown could catch a trout as we mainly fish for snapper and whiting.

14 members of the Williamstown club fished against about 20 or so members from the Ballarat club, a great social day was had by all and we all came away with a great feed of fish.
