Use your mobile to report offences...
Alan McFayden writes:
With the increasing use of mobile phones being used by fishers it may be prudent to encourage them to report serious breaches of the fishing regulations.
We have been told that revenue raised from fishing licences is being used to benefit the fishing public and maybe some of this could be used in an advertising campaign.
Maybe there could be a hotline readily available and advertised for this purpose. I realize that resources could a problem but maybe, just every so often, some of the cheats maybe caught via this proposal.

fishvictoria.com replies:
The official Fisheries Victoria number to call to report offences is 136-186, 8am to 8pm, after which time there should be a recorded message with after hours numbers.
