Club should know better than to release carp.

I went to Ballan today (23/02/03) to the Bostock Reservoir and some club had a fishing comp there fishing for carp. To my disgust and amazement all the carp they caught since 8am till around 5pm, they released back into the water. There was around 10 of them so there were hundreds of carp released. What is going on? Regards, Martin W.
