Fished at the end of Alice Rd in sheltered surf beach. Surf was calmer than usual. Caught plenty of undersize salmon and caught the biggest salmon on a 20gm raider jig about 40m out. Not many good size salmon which was annoying. Went fishing with mates and everyone caught fish which was good. Mullet were caught mainly on squid strips. Used small circle hooks and found they worked better than octopus or long shank styles.

Comments:

Big frenzy of bream on whitebait and glassies. All I could hear was fish jumping. Berley really helps; the fish were jumping at pellets.

Caught a few bream on lures this time. The bream don't seem to mind the instant bait either. You just have to berley with little chunks first.
