Location: Barham River Time: 7am-10.30am
Type of Water: Estuary Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Bream, trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Soft plastics, rapalas
Fish Caught:

1 x bream @ 36cm
3 x salmon @ 15cm

Comments:

Pretty windy but as I got further up river it was a little better. Down in the caravan park the damiki wow grubs were getting plenty of hits and I had one get bitten in half but didn't have any bream hookups. Went further up river into the snaggy country and dropped one bream on the damiki but then switched to the gulp minnows and got a 36cm bream which ended up winning me the junior grand slam section of the comp. Went further up for trout but only had a few follows and had one bream around 25-30cm bite off the tail on my gulp minnow.

Location: Boat Harbour Time: 12pm-1pm
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Pier
Target Fish: Anything
Bait\Lure\Fly: Whole bluebait, raiders, fake prawn lure
Fish Caught:

1 x salmon @ 30cm
1 x crab @ 10cm

Comments:

No luck with the lures. The salmon and crab got caught just by an unweighted whole bluebait on a hook with stinger. No retrieve. Threw crab back, but ate the salmon :p In that hour, the two people next to us got 1 X 25cm salmon each as well.
