Bright windy day and the little redfin drove me crazy and stole all my mudeyes almost as soon as they hit the water. Lucky to get the single trout I caught. Several other anglers fishing but didn't see another trout taken. |

Difficult bright day with an easterly wind blowing. Saw a number of other fish taken around the lake (which is very low). I was content with my two, and two other runs that were missed. |

A better day than last Saturday and had no trouble keeping my floats out. Got bites consistently all day but they were touchy on the strike. If I'd got all of the fish that ran with my mudeyes I would have bagged out. The bigger fish put on a spectacular show leaping out the water like a rainbow. He was deep and beautifully conditioned. Unlike last week I didn't even see a redfin. |

Nice day but there was a flukey wind that made it hard to keep the floats out. Water is low and weed is a problem. But, I was happy to get a few small fish and lost several others in the weed. A guy fishing on the wall with minnow got a really nice brown over 3lb and another small one. |

Hey there groovers had a change of scenery, moved away from the pondage and had a bit of a fish up at Harcourt Res. Been a while since I've been up this way, last time I was up I picked up a nice brown of 15lbs on fly. Had a couple of hours to kill so I went up to have a bit of mudeye fishing. Weather was perfect, looking back towards Melbourne it looked black. Anyway it only took a half an hour and I got the little fiery brown and that was it. It was just nice being there, gonna be back there next month when the duns start to hatch, and for those of you fly fishos you know what I'm on about. It's great fishing and there's still big fish in there to be caught, and I mean trophy fish. So if you're up that way and you see a fat little long haired bloke waving the wand that'll be me.
