First time fishing here with a friend, I caught nothing at all due to wrong size hook, my friend caught about 3 good size whiting, and a couple undersize salmon, all released. People next to us caught over 20 good size fish, will come back soon to try my luck. |

I headed down to the Sheepwash beacuse it was about this time last year when me and a mate Daniel caught a bag full of salmon. This time there was nothing around except for crappy mullet. I managed to get 1 salmon on bait, but other than that, nothing around. |

Lost a few more mullet because they weren't biting the hook. It fought pretty good. Some guys reckoned they caught some bream, another guy caught about 15 mullet but went they off the bite not long after we arrived. |

When they came on the action was non-stop. Had to leave due to commitments, but still going when I left. About 2 hours before high tide. Great fun on light gear. |

Normally there's only sand crabs, these guys make excellent bait. Lost 2 whiting that would have been small. |

I went there because I heard all the big salmon were biting on soft plastics, but when we got there the weather was really windy and it was head-on wind so we could not cast far. I ended up losing 10 dollars worth of gear, it was a big waste of time and money. |

Went out to fifty metres where a huge flock of birds were diving, and put out our baits and lost many very large 'couta, and myself, being the only one with a trace, was able to bring a big 'couta to the boat only to have it stolen by a seal at the last moment. Got a big run from a shark, not sure of the species but plenty of fish around oddly enough given the fact it is winter. |
