Fished the Barwon before the storm and next morning. Did better in the evening. All on down rigs, I let the fish run with the bait and then hit, and i hooked all hits. The bigger the minnow the better the chance. Most Redfin were over 30cm. Great eating. |

The river isn't producing reddies at the moment, I saw 2 carp jump the water at dusk, maybe after mosquitos or something, I think that it would be better fishing further upstream - maybe above Buckleys Falls - where there is more oxygen in the water, otherwise I would wait until summer, because the river is too muddy and needs to settle down. |

Fish to small to keep. At the moment the river is still two muddy and should fish alot better in about a months time hopefully if it doesnt rain. |
