Good night, started fishing about a couple of hours before high tide. Constant bites, couldn't even drop my 2nd rod in. Then the weather got bad, raining just got worse and worse (See photo in Gallery section). |

We go to Bass River all the time, every day nearly. We ALWAYS catch something. Last time we went we caught about 3 whiting and a short finned pike. We caught the pike seconds after putting a lure on. We have tried using squid and we got NO bites at all. But as soon as you put the pipis on you can feel the bites seconds after casting it in! I advise not to go on a windy day you get loads of sea weed. Also I advise to walk right up to the end of the river! Have fun guys/girls!! |

A bit windy and we ran out of bait just when the fish were starting to bite. Had a good fight with the trevally. Only kept the trevally. |
