Fished 23kms out from Seaspray and caught most the fish there. Had 3 or 4 bite offs by sharks or 'couta. Wasn't much fish out on the reef, usually the guys from Razorback Charters bag out on snapper. Thanks to the guys from Razorback, Ian and Jeff. |

Fished in 50m of water out from Cape Woolamai. Had a 9ft blue shark swim up the berley trail to the boat and commence attacking the motor, putting teeth marks on the shaft and propellor. Filmed this for about 5 mins and decided to try and scare it away. Couldn't get rid of it, tried tapping it on the nose with the berley muncher. The shark would just do a circle and chomp on the motor once again. The only way we could get rid of the shark was to put a hook in its mouth. Weather was warm with a slight north easterly breeze, seas were calm. |
