The Jamieson is very low and extremely muddy, although it became clear on the last day. The rainbow took a black wooly bugger and the blackies on worms. The kids had fun with all the blackies. |

Fished from Burnt Bridge camping area to the pines, fished for about an hour with no luck on the rapala and rebel. Put on rainbow trout hubert and 2nd cast had a follow by a fish about 40cm, few casts later landed the rainbow. Had no more luck for about an hour then changed to brown trout hubert and within half an hour caught the smaller brown, had a few more follows then started walking back along the road. Got to Bulldog Flat and decided I'd fish from there to Burnt Bridge, about 3rd cast there caught the monster trout. Took some skill to get it on the bank as I didn't have a net. Third time I've fished Big River and will be going back again soon. |
