Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Wading
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Celta lures
Fish Caught: 2 x rainbow trout @ pan size
Comments: Heaps of small rainbow trout hitting the lures. Caught at least 20. Great fun wading and casting into the rapids to these agressive little fish. Once hooked, they are lots of fun on light tackle with their leaps out of the water. Kept two for the pan. Great day out.

Target Fish: Any fish will do

Fish Caught: 1 x brown trout @ big
Comments: We put a bell on the line and it rang in the middle of dinner. Despite having a few wines under the belt, we caught a huge brown trout as big as my foot. Fantastic!

Target Fish: Anything with gills. Trout was the preference.
Bait\Lure\Fly: Celta, wobbler, rainbow, scrubbies, maggots, powerbait
Fish Caught: None, see comment below.
Comments: River was flowing far too fast I think. Didn't get a nibble. Tried the pondage on the Tuesday. Mate got 1 little reddy, tiny. Bloke on other bank got a big old brown trout about 600mm long. Not happy. But good on him. Great catch.

Location: Big River Time: 7am-2.30pm
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Wading
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Scrubbies, maggots, march flies
Fish Caught: 1 x roach @ 21cm
Comments: Saw a few rises - hooked and lost a small brown. Very quiet. Reinforces theory that fishing goes quiet when weather is unstable... storms came up in afternoon. Roach was caught near Burnt Bridge Camping area (NOT released).

19 January 2002, Stuart
Location: Big River Time: am
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Scrubbies, march flies, maggots
Fish Caught: 2 x brown trout @ 21cm, 30cm
Comments: Worked small section of the river. Had another hook up but lost it - released the small brown to fight another day. Both had very light colouring but were in excellent condition. Used march flies in exasperation, put them on the hook after swatting a few.
