It was amazing, me and my mate got there for a bit of fun and I hooked onto this huge trout, it's my biggest and it broke my rod. The line almost snapped and I was only using 6lb line so I was lucky. I'm getting it stuffed and put on a plaque. |

At the crack of dawn, many fish rising near the creek inlet at the car park. Moved to the northern bank and caught a magnificent 1+kg rainbow on worm/maggot cocktail under a bubble-float. Magnificent (and tasty) fish. Also got a 700ish gm redfin on worm-running sinker. Lots of bites all morning on the northern bank under ths shade of the pine trees. Beautiful place to fish. This place should get more stocking of trout and natives. It's close to Melbourne and a beautifull place to fish. |

Not a bite. Spoke to a fly fisher who also had no luck. See Forums-Freshwater for query on catching spawning carp - shallows were thick with lovin' carp!!!!!!! |
