Breamlea - Bancoora Beach

Related Pages:

14 January 2008, Jackson
Location: Thompson Creek Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Bream, mullet, jackets
Bait\Lure\Fly: Pipis
Fish Caught:

1 x mullet @ 10cm

Comments: Steady tide, no water movement and no fish, mainly due to the river being blocked up for a long time and now the fish don't want to come back in. Plenty of bait fish though which should help get the bigger fish back.

29 December 2003, Daniel McLean
Location: Breamlea Time: 7.30pm-10pm
Type of Water: Ocean Type of Fishing: Rocks
Target Fish: Snapper, salmon, trevally.
Bait\Lure\Fly: Pilchards
Fish Caught: 1 x snapper @ 28cm
Comments: 35 deg day, gentle offshore wind, falling to low tide, heaps of weed made the beach unfishable. Ended up fishing the 2nd rocky head travelling west from Bancoora casting sideways into deeper sandy channel. Snaggy on bottom, but float or unweighted bait was great. My first snapper off the rocks, so very happy. Legal size, but lived to swim another day :-)
