Around 20 of us fishing the beach whilst I was there, very few fish of good size being caught. Fished the high tide and the first of the run out. Fairly large swell, gentle 5 knot onshore breeze. |

I caught the salmon on my first cast in the first 10 minutes, then got nothing for the rest of the night. I fished with Tim, he caught a shovel-nosed ray which was released. It was a very pleasant night on the beach under clear skies. |

Not a bad night but a little bit windy, the tide was rising which was good. Tip: if you're a bait fisherman off the surf try a 30-40gram lure occasionally, you will be suprised with the results of the salmon jumping straight on the hook! |

Horrid weather but the luderick made it worthwhile - my first luderick and it was a surprise in the location which was mainly sandy beach with a bit of weedy reef here and there. Put on a strong fight as expected. |
