Location: Cairn Curran Reservoir Time: Morning
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Redfin, yellowbelly, trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms
Fish Caught:

5 x carp @ 6lb-8lb
1 x redfin @ tiny

Comments: Disgraceful that carp have taken over this section of water. We lost three or four carp that must have been well over 10 pounds. Last year we caught some beautiful fish (trout/redfin). It is very hard to see how this water can recover.

Location: Cairn Curran Reservoir Time: 6am-3pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Redfin, trout, anthing really!
Bait\Lure\Fly: Mudeyes, worms, yabbies, powerbait, lures (stumpies), spinners
Fish Caught:

6 x Redfin @ Small
1 x Yabbie @ ?

Comments: All redfin released as very small. An excellent day, was a bit windy early on but once the sun came through, mate it was hot. Perfect day, no wind, lake was like glass... Perfect for the reddies, except someone forget to tell them. Heaps of other people out fishing.

Location: Cairn Curran Time: 1pm
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Redfin, yellowbelly
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms, yabbies
Fish Caught:

6 x redfin @ 15cm-30cm

Comments: The water has risen by about 6 feet, that's why not much is on the go. Also the water is still very cold.

Location: Cairn Curran Time: 7am-4pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Trout, yellowbelly
Bait\Lure\Fly: Lures, SPs, mudeyes, scrubworms
Fish Caught:

1 x brown trout @ 48cm

Comments: My son lost a very good fish in the first 5 minutes on the water. Tried lures and worms, etc, etc. My dad got a very nice brown, while we had a break on the bank. A great spot, I'll be back again, and if we can get more rain it'll be fantastic. (See photo in Gallery section.)
