Fished off the rocks near the camp ground at Blanket Bay. Mate came down 3 nights before and caught a bag full of sweep on Bass yabbies. Worked for me too, leatherjacket loved the mullet fillets! |

Fished the surf beach at Aire River. Bit of a walk out from the camp grounds but two great gutters to fish. Fished rising tide but didn't manage to stay for the top which was at around 8.30-9pm. Heaps of small salmon around and occasional large mullet. Also cought some small salmon in the Aire River (mouth closed) which had taken on a golden tannin colour.
Ran into 3 guys setting up for gummy sharks on the night of Tue. 9th. When I returned to the beach the following day I was disgusted to find they had left a dozen empty beer cans, plastic poly and other rubbish on the beach. What's worse, these guys had a 4WD and didn't have to walk all the way in like myself. Just a shame I didn't get their rego. I'm sick and tired of seeing this kind of blatent irresponsibility! |
