Location: Dean Reservoir Time: 11.30am-5.30pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Maggots
Fish Caught:

1 x rainbow trout @ 31cm
1 x rainbow trout @ 33cm

Comments: Hadn't been here since May when the water was very low. Has risen considerably but still a long way from being full. Sunny but windy day made float fishing difficult. Still, it was nice to get a couple of small but well conditioned rainbows. Quite a lot of fish moving with plenty of insect life on the surface.

Location: Dean Reservoir Time: 11am-4.30pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Maggots, scrubbies
Fish Caught:

Comments: Lowest I've ever seen this water. Didn't see a fish move nor did I lose a bait. Very cold day but it was good to get out again. I've been working too hard and deserved a day on the water. Will try again next weekend.

Location: Dean Reservoir Time: 6.45am-12pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout, redfin, tench
Bait\Lure\Fly: Scrubworms, garden worms, maggots, bread, corn, Powerbait, frog pattern Tassie Devil lure
Fish Caught:

None

Comments: Dean was blanketed in heavy mist for the first three hours of fishing. Fish were easily observed surface swimming, as their fins continually circled my floats, while I hummed the 'Jaws' movie theme. They continued to do that for the entire five hours that I fished. I had two bites that took my float well beneath the water, but only for single hits, enough to take half a worm with no return attempts. There is simply just too much natural food here with insects, frogs, weed & weed associated life-forms. The scoreboard is heavily weighed in the fish's favour, however it's not even half time yet, so I am determined to stay in the game to the bitter, but hopefully sweet end!

Comments: I should have read the previous results. No sign of fish, totally dead, never wasting my time here again.
