Fish Caught

1 x brown trout @ 4.5lb
1 x redfin @ pan size!

Comments: Caught a great looking brown trout (see photo) on loftys cobra, also netted a good eating size reddy on scubbies. Dropped a much larger fish also, the pondage has been kind to me lately, catching fish 5lb-7lb regularly (See photo in Gallery section).

Location: Eildon Pondage Time: 12pm-6pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Power bait
Fish Caught

1 x rainbow trout @ 300g
5 x crayfish @ various

Comments: Only started fishing so I'm new to the whole thing hence the quantity of fish, but I had a great time. I camped with a mate in one of the local caravan parks and caught the only fish of the trip on rainbow power bait that a bloke fishing gave me as our pink version wasn't working. Lost 3 other fish, they spat the hook. Had a WOW of a time!

Target Fish: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout

Fish Caught

1 x brown trout @ 6-7 lbs
1 x rainbow trout @ 8.5 lbs
2 x brown trount @ 1-2 lbs
4 x rainbow trout @ 1-2 lbs

Comments: The fishing was hot! I caught the big brown early morning and my wife caught the rainbow in the afternoon. All the small trout were released to fight another day. We lost a couple of fish including a decent fish. Fish where caught both with bait and lures. Cant tell you the bait or the lures, it's a secret and so is the location. Had a ball all round. I saw a couple other thumpers caught and a lot of small fish also taken. All fishos, please let the little guys live! Good fishing to you all (See photo in Gallery section).

Location: Eildon Pondage Time: 8am-2pm
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout, redfin
Bait\Lure\Fly: Soft plastics, lures, trout nuggets, maggots
Fish Caught

None

Comments: Quite a puzzling day - we had a spectacular show of rainbow trout hunting small fish right at the bank, but no bite on anything. Saw just one man pulling out a trout, and a lot of fellow anglers done with nothing. Otherwise - lovely. Clear water (falling), lots of birds of all sorts, including a musk duck (rare), and a lot of rainbows jumping.

Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Powerbait, scrubbies, maggots, lures
Fish Caught

1 x rainbow @ 960g
1 x rainbow @ 620g

Comments: Took a trip with my son to the Pondage. Got there about 10.30am. I started using scrubbies and Jay was using a light coloured Tassie Devil. Second cast with his lure he hooked into a small rainbow which was released. Couple of casts later he got another one. He then wandered off with his lure leaving me sitting on the bank with my bait rods. He came back shortly with the big rainbow and a little while later with the other one. He caught another four small rainbows which were released. And me, I had three bites all day.

1 x brown trout @ 4lb/45cm
3 x rainbow trout @ 20cm-30cm

Location: Lake Eildon Time: 6.30am-11.30am
Type of Water: Lake Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Tassie Devil No. 77, rainbow candy Powerbait
Fish Caught

1 x rainbow @ 5.7kg (12.5lb)
1 x brown @ 3.4kg (7.6lb)
2 x rainbows @ 1.2kg
6 x rainbows @ pan size

Comments: Biggest trout I've caught by a mile. Got her on the Tassie. The brown was also taken on Tassie all other fish on Powerbait. Took the bigger fish into Gaz at Eildon Bait and Tackle and had them weighed. They were a lot heavier than I thought. (See photo in Gallery section.)
