Plenty of squid being caught off the pier, caught 3 of mine by spotting the squid then putting my jig in front of it. |

Good fish! Caught within first half hour before the bites suddenly stopped. No bites on whitebait, plenty on squid. |

Early morning was slow! Action started at about 2pm. From 2pm till 10pm was the best fishing action! Great day out.. weather was perfect. Thanks Charlie for the entertainment! |

Really frustrating. I could see the school of fish just underneath the pier. Not sure what they were - had brown tops and white undersides. May have been salmon? But everytime I could actually see about 3-4 of them kept on stripping the whole or 1/4 bluebait off the hooks. This happened about ten times and no luck on the lures. Got plenty of bites on the raiders, but no hook-ups. Lost 2 raiders as well to a massive kelp forest. I only had 1/0 O'Shaunassey hooks, so may have been too big for them. Also, the bait was a day old so may have been too soft. The only thing I saw others nearby catch during my time there was a squid with a squid jig.
