Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms
Fish Caught: None
Comments: Great river, very pretty wading this river in Summer but that is why there is no fish. Many camp sites with lures ruined it for us poor fly people. Very narrow river and fish easily spooked. Love it though, have to go back again!

Location: Mitta Mitta River Time: 6.30am-5.30pm
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms
Fish Caught: 50+ x trout @ 1lb-5lb
Comments: Three of us returned for my annual trip to the Mitta. Water was low and very clear. Fished near Anglers Rest and the Bundarra junction, also the Hinnomunjie area.  Great to see the area has returned to its majestic splendour after fires a few years back.  Weather was fantastic with little or no rain and no wind, although it was cold.  Caught no female fish, which was unusual. Kept our possession limit, and the rest were returned unharmed.  Will see if we can make this a twice yearly event.

Location: Mitta Mitta River Time: 5.45am
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Anything on a spinner
Bait\Lure\Fly: Lure
Fish Caught: 1 x brown trout @ 35cm
1 x redfin @ 15cm
Comments: I got one little 15cm redfin. Pu it back as it was too small. Have caught a 35cm nice brown trout under a willow tree. I caught these fish in a week and still going to get more. Fishing under willow trees, in stream waters is a good way to go for trout and redfin.

Location: Mitta Mitta River Time: All day
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Trout
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms
Fish Caught: 8 x brown trout @ 2lb-3lb
2 x brown trout @ 1lb
Lots x brown trout @ less than 1lb
Comments: Fished various locations around the Anglers Rest area near and upstream of the Bundarra Junction. River low and very clear. Fish were easily spooked but were there if you were careful and patient. Casting behind rocks and logs proved to be the key. Took our bag and released the rest. One of the best weekends I've had in years.
