Was Easter morning, got first trout in couple of minutes, got snagged a lot. Went later in the day and caught biggest trout. All were released. |

The fish in the pondage are feeding on very small water snails, so I have been using an intermediate line with a two fly rig a metre apart over the areas where there are no weed beds. The Kiewa river is a bit quiet at the moment but should improve in the next couple of weeks. |

Fished pondage early one day, late evening the other. Both times hooked up on second cast. Lost the smaller fish. Believe the pondage has been restocked. Vibrax spinner (French celta type) was also successful last year. |

Had caught 9 nice rainbows over three nights about a month ago. This trip I saw activity and trout working the shallows at the edge against the weeds. Did not see any anglers take fish. |
