Never been up this way on the Murray, generally I'm further up the river. I'm glad I did come to this area as the weather was great apart from a bit of rain. The fishing was great, got plenty of fish, getting about 10 fish a day mainly trout cod but at least they are making a move. Only got one cod which probably wasn't a good sign for this time of year. The slver bream were pretty good size, got two bobing for yellowbelly. Go the yellowbelly bobing. The gulpa creek was looking good for fishing. Plenty of water there, but never had the chance to give it a crack. The yellowbelly were going good in the Edwards apparently, just bobing is the go with shrimp and worm. Only bad thing I thought about the area was the water current. It is also narrow, had to work hard to find the holes to fish in. The river was droping in the last 2 days the fishing was quiet. |
