Location: Broken Creek Time:
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Cod, yellowbelly
Bait\Lure\Fly: Bait
Fish Caught: 3 x cod @ 35-48cm
10 x yellow belly @ 1lb-3.5lb
15 x carp @ .5lb-10lb
Comments: Fishing was good, plenty of carp caught ranging form .5lb to 10lb.Used only scrubbies as bait. It was hard to pick what was bitting because of an abundance of yabbies. Broke of three times using 30lb line no guesses on they were, but all in all had a good weeks fishing.

Fish Caught: 2 x cod @ 56cm, 48cm
Comments: River up but still clear, trolled both fish on a codger No.2, had one other hit. Spoke to other anglers who had also caught fish, surprised that still able to catch fish this time of year. Had a friend catch a 1m-39cm 85lb plus fish two weeks ago in same area, hope to get photo to send in.

Location: Barmah Time: All day both days
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Murray cod, yellowbelly
Bait\Lure\Fly: Bardies, worms, yabbies, spinner baits, stump jumpers
Fish Caught: 2 x silver perch
4 x carp @ average
Comments: Silver perch released. The fishing at Barmah was very disappointing, no one seemed to catch anything, good to see the Fisheries checking out licences and so on. Will think twice about fishing it again and the skiers are a disgrace, not slowing down even when near anchored boats.

Location: Barmah Time: 3.30pm-6pm, 7.30am-11am
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: None specified
Bait\Lure\Fly: Yabbies, worms
Fish Caught: None, see comments below.
Comments: Fishing off the west bank opposite Barmah Caravan Park. Murray dropped 4 to 5ft and muddy banks close in. Lots of speed boats towing skiers causing huge backwash slop and ignoring the large posted 8k signs, fishing dead, bait yabbies and worms not touched on hook. This area was a free for all for water skiers, there was no enforcment for the posted 8k limit, dont waste your time!!

Location: Barmah Time: 2pm-9pm,
7am-10am
Type of Water: River Type of Fishing: Shore
Target Fish: Perch, carp
Bait\Lure\Fly: Worms, corn
Fish Caught: 1 x silver perch @ 30cm
2 x golden perch @ 30cm & 35cm
8 x carp @ 1 lb to 7.2 lbs
Comments: Fished and camped in Barmah State Forest off Sand Ridge Road. Great spot to fish and camp. Got all fish from right in front of the camp fire close to bank around reed margins. The rod bells were jingling constantly day and night. Many other fish were lost along the way because I was too busy trying not to spill my beer. Goldens were caught in the early morning. A couple of huge takes went straight to the snags and wouldn't budge. All perch returned after photos and carp were killed to feed the wild pigs!
