Got out before the storm hit. No boats out. Got into some good weedy ground @ 12m from Frankston. Got stuck into a school of gummy sharks with one monster gummy that put up a huge fight. Had a lot of drop offs. Guessing snapper not biting propperly. All fish caught on fresh garfish. Make sure you always keep a small damage rod as there is lots of garfish in deep water. The fish where on the bite until the storm came in, so we headed out. Lots of good reports in and around Frankston and Carrum/Seaford in the past week. I think in a couple of weeks, pending on the weather, the shnippers will be back on the bite. Best of luck. |

Straight out from Carrum in 18m of water. Silver whitting, no need to strike, buckled rod in half. Took my time and slid the net under. Garfish were in numbers, but shy. Great day. (See photo in Gallery section.) |

I came a bit late, I was casting for about 30 minutes and then a school of salmon came and I got 2. I lost a few goods size ones, there was a little bit of wind and the water wasn't too rough. I didn't fish for long because it went dark quickly. |

Threw all fish back to fight another day. Mulloway was a heck of a surprise and fight. On 8lb line it was difficult. |

Fished the mouth of the Patto, it was a very windy day but the salmon went off. All salmon caught with metal lures and pulling in the 45cm salmon was the best feeling. Bream were very quite, didn't hear of 1 caught all day. |
