Beautiful morning on the water. Fished the incoming tide in Whale Bay in 8m of water. Pilchard and slimy were the pick of the baits. |

Pretty good day - weather was kind, and we got onto a good variety of fish. Missed out on finding a good whiting ground, but the little flatties kept us busy all day with some good keepers on top of that. Found a big school of salmon busting up the surface and got stuck into them before spooking them. Held the garfish in the burley trail for a good 2 hours. Great day - down for a comp and most people did very well. |

Fished in the channel near Sunday Island. Got the undersized flathead first then all of a sudden we got the snapper, sheer luck I think, then we moved about 5mins down the channel and got onto the good sized flathead. Not a bad days fishing for 3 adults and 1 child. I think we were just lucky. Had to come in as it was getting a bit choppy and the young bloke was starting to get a bit nervous but all had a great day. |
