Arrived at 10am, approx 15 knot Westerly blowing then changed to NW 5-10 knots. Good weather; morning sunny, early arvo slightly cloudy. Caught fish between 11am and 1.30pm prior to high tide at 2.00pm. After high tide we got zilch. From 12.30pm onwards very messy & strong side drift. Overall a good day & fresh fish for dinner. |

Ideal conditions ,N/W wind keeping line out a fair way. This season is bad for floating sea-weed up & down the beach. Bay dredging is the cause of it in my opinion. The salmon were both caught on the surf poppers. |

Fished outgoing tide and had a ball! 30+ fish. Released the small ones. Kept the bag limit. Left the area with other anglers pulling one fish after another. The occassional massive hook ups (weeds/kelp) were killers. Lost 3 rigs and busted mainline once in the process. |

Fished outgoing tide. All fish caught on whitebait. Not a touch on blue bait and pippies. Big waves and too many weeds. |

Fished near the life saver club. Nice day fishing. Cloudy, no sun, no rain. Light northerly wind helped ease the surf. Too bad to the surfers!! Heaps of small salmon to 20cm. Got a nice one that took a whole pilly. I was using 50lb braid line and ganged hooks. The fish proved no match to such combination. Landed the 2.5 kilo beauty in under a minute. I was actually trying to test the braid line. Next time, I will bring a nail cutter. I can't even cut the braid using decent knife! Took me ages to trim the excess lines. Will be back!! By the way, the fish is now resting in my fridge, vacuum sealed to preserve the flavour. |

Released all 4 snapper and released all 2 salmon. Kept only 2 cause the others seemed a little small. Great day, tide was perfect and the fish were biting. My mate caught the flathead. |
