Location: Altona Pier Time: 8.30am-2.30pm
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Snapper, pinky
Bait\Lure\Fly: Baracoutta
Fish Caught:

20 x snapper/pinkies @ 1kg-3kg

Comments: Things started very slow, fired up at around 11.30am and left with fish still on the bite. My little girl caught the biggest fish of 3kg. Altona Boat Ramp was a joke trying to get out off the harbour, sand everywhere. They claim they have no money to dig it up but it's good to see they have spent mega money on a new machine to take our launching fee!

Location: Altona Pier Time: 5pm-8.30pm
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Pier
Target Fish: Pinkies, salmon
Bait\Lure\Fly: Bluebait, pilchard, squid
Fish Caught:

7 x pinkies @ 32cm-38cm
2 x pinkies @ 42cm-44cm
1 x bay trout @ 24cm

Comments: Me and my mate went down to Altona Pier, heard they were catching some salmon, didn't get the end of the pier, few people around so we fished the bottom left jetty. An hour went by, only got 1 bay trout, a group left so we took the end they left at the wrong time. 20 minutes after the pinkies went crazy. Nice sizes, every 2 minutes rod was going nuts. Missed at least 8, got 9 and it was 2 hours after high tide???

Location: Altona Pier Time: 8am-1pm
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Snapper
Bait\Lure\Fly: Pilchard, pipis, squid
Fish Caught:

40+ x pinkies @ 22cm-25cm
2 x whiting @ 40cm
4 x flathead @ 28cm

Comments: Fished stick area as sea was too sloppy. Berleyed up and immediately had small pinkies. Threw all back but kept 2 that were 29cm. The whiting were vicious when then took the bait. Caught on pilchard pieces. Not a bad day until Sam seal came along and sent every fish west. He even followed us back to the boat ramp.
