Had mad bites, didn't seem to have any luck hooking it. Had one hooked, very decent sized but fell off when reeling up the pier. Overall it was still quite fun!

Little snapper were a pain ... some of the buggers fought though. Given the weather thought the bay trout would be about.

Location: Kerferd Rd Pier Time: 5pm-9pm
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Pier
Target Fish: Pinky snapper
Bait\Lure\Fly: Calamari, bluebait
Fish Caught:

20 x pinkies @ 20cm-27cm released
3 x pinkies @ 30cm-32cm
1 x gummy shark @ 40cm released

Comments:

Conditions at Kerferd rd pier were spot on, rough choppy water-1 metre waves, 20+ knot southerley and high tide at 5.30pm. Fish in a frenzy from 6-8pm. Me and my koombaro landed 20 each with many other bites and dropped fish (took home 3 each). Ran out of calamari by 9pm and bluebait did ok. Pinkiess were landed almost the full lenth of pier and on both sides. Still some fishos taking undersize fish, can't say much or risk a fat lip. Good to take some fish home.
